  • korean sasquatch... no more

if you have never seen a korean sasquatch, here is
an example of one on the right
    (next to kobayashi).

due to global warming, he came out of hibernation
early and to keep warm, he attaches to an octopus.

  • oops, he did it again

i specifically request certain things from my main squeeze...  i have learned that i need to be more direct with him and not try to influence him with my subtle (too subtle for his taste) ways.  one thing in particular i dare not post about, though i have a feeling most of you know what i'm referring to.  the other thing i will post about is his hair.  he has lots of hair and as most of you know, he has been sporting his hair in a ridiculous fashion as of lately.  i believe he is going through some kind of 30's/ becoming a dad/ now an old man crisis.  yes and some of us get facials, new outfits, manicure/pedicure, make-over, or even some rhinoplasty... but my man decides to grow his hair.  all over.  so much that he started to appear like a korean sasquatch.  i do believe there are some mountainous regions in korea where there may be some species of these.  i am convinced that he is probably some small percent descendant of this breed.  anyway, i let my imagination get in the way of telling you what is so important.  he goes and shaves off the whole thing just like that.  well, even though he did do it in pieces and came to show me the phases (megatron look, to mario brothers look, to who knows what look) in the end i don't recognize him and neither does eden!  man, i don't have a photo but i need to get one...

  • part v, the saga continues

no no no this is not a post about the anne of green gables: continuing saga... though i have a many thoughts about that video.  they really tried to bring back megan fallows and the guy that plays gilbert blythe.  it was a horrible reunion yet i watched it eagerly from start to finish.  i don't know if i was trying to recapture my own youth and crush i had on gilbert blythe.  it's almost better just to watch the original series again...

back to my root canal.  i am telling you this is being dragged out like you wouldn't believe.  so i went in after a holiday hiatus (it's what i call it, can you believe i needed a vacation from dental work?)  luckily i do have a wonderful dentist who decided to pair my visits so that i'd only need to go two more times rather than 3-4 times.  heavy duty work though.  with multiple injections of the numbing stuff, she created a crater for the post, made several impressions with bright green goey stuff and also bright purple stuff.  then i had this temporary crown plopped on.  and it really felt like my old tooth!  this time it was really painless event.  they were also very nice enough to grease me up with vaseline several times so my poor lips would not be stretched to shreds.  yes, the vain part of me does appear here and there.

i must say, having been with that tooth for about 20 years, i'm missing it just a little bit.  maybe it's this sense of loss...  or moving towards another age where you start to lose your teeth...

    sleep training day 5

mf54 and i have been dreading to have to come to this...  gone are the days when our little baby would fall asleep in our arms within 2 minutes and could be put down.  after a considerate amount of research (on my part) and other factors, we decided to 'ferberize'.  and this is after we both read the relevant parts of his book.  the book actually helps you to diagnose what sleep problem(s) your baby/child has and then solutions to try.  after sleeping on the futon in the living room for 5 nights now (2 more days to go) we have to say it has not been as BAD as we imagined at all.  and we found that our little baby is learning to sleep on her own, phew.

who could resist going in the pinch these cheeks?  yes, we had to really refrain from doing so the first night.

  • i have opinions that i need to vent

mnnntzph...  sometimes there are things that you just need to vent about and then you forgeddaboudit.  i have a few things that i need to get off my chest.  i think that will be the only way to get it out of my system.  i know these things cannot be solved by the common man or myself.  i also know that there are things in life that one needs to just accept and move on.  if i had access to an open corn field, i would run to the center of it and scream these things at the top of my lungs and then probably go out for ice cream.  since i don't have that kind of outlet, i will just vent here and be done with it.

    1) why doesn't the credit card reader have a long enough stylus?  and why does it feel like it is only long enough for right handed people.  i was at a particular store (can't remember which one) and i actually had to sign with my non-dominant hand.  even then it was a little bit of a tight squeeze.  oh and just to mention it, my signature never looks right but rather a line or a bunch of cut up lines.

    2) why isn't there drive thrus for good restaurants.  doesn't have to be fast food.  like maybe you could call in your order and drive through to pick up and pay.  that way you don't have to get out of your car and you can bring your kids too.  i think restaurants could reach more customers that way.  people are always in a rush and willing to do that for good food.  people needing to do drive thru can only get that much wendy's.

    3) why is there no good mexican or tex-mex food in fort lee/palisades park area?  this bothers me so as i would like to have some tex-mex a little more authentic than what i am making up in my kitchen.  oh and of course it should taste better.

    4) does anyone love their job?

there's much more to vent about but all this venting makes me hungry so i need to get a snack.
